The Vision Behind The Wright Academy
Built From the Ground Up Because the Old System Failed Both Students and Teachers.
Traditional schooling was built for a world that no longer exists. This is the story of why we stopped trying to fight a broken government curriculum and instead built a complete, lifelong framework built for every stage—from early infancy (0-2) and pre-primary (2-6), with our comprehensive school-age modules (7-18) coming soon.
A complete, lifelong framework built to support children,
families, and educators at every stage.
OUR LIFELONG FRAMEWORK
Built for Every Stage.
Our story led us to build a framework that supports children from the earliest years through the future school-age modules still to come.

THE REALITY I LIVED THROUGH
I Was Labelled "Behind" Because Teachers Couldn't Explain “Why”.
From the day I started my school life I knew deep down that I was “different”. In year 3, I was pulled out of standard class and put into a special maths group because I wasn't "good enough" to keep up with grade 3 math. The reality wasn't that I lacked intelligence. It was that I couldn't understand the questions.
I can remember my mother telling the teachers “Jarrad can not understand the question. If you ask him the question in a more understandable way, then he will give you the correct answer”. Unfortunately the teachers didn’t listen and I just drifted through my school years.
I did terribly at English too, because teachers couldn't explain to me exactly what they wanted. I once asked my English teacher “Tell me what you would like me to write”. He said “I cant do that, you need to figure it out for yourself”.
I am a logically minded person. I need clarity, structure, and visual understanding. When a test question tried to be intentionally confusing, I struggled. When I was in grade 10, I did a maths test where I answered every single question right, but only completed three-quarters of the test. Why? Because I didn’t know the standard formulas I was "supposed" to use—I just used my own logic to get the exact right answers.
I've literally had teachers walk out of the classroom because they couldn't explain things to a mind that demanded absolute logic. After school, I stopped trying to fit into that box, educated myself in things like investing and entrepreneurial skills and built my own path to become a multi-millionaire with multiple successful businesses by the age of 34.
The Broken System Inside and Out
Two Different Worlds, The Same Brutal Realization.
About 10 years ago, I met my partner. With over 15 years in education, she brought the exact same realization from the other side of the desk. This is her story….
Universities don't teach teachers the reality of the classrooms they are about to enter. They hand out a rigid curriculum without teaching proper emotional regulation or how to support kids who learn differently.
That is why nearly 30% of teachers quit in their first five years. They walk in with the right heart, drive, and intentions, only to face a whirlwind of overpacked curriculums, massive class sizes, constant interruptions, and severe time limitations.
Instead of being allowed to truly teach, they are forced into compliance—printing out paper, slapping it in front of students, and expecting them to just figure it out.
Even when I built a small oasis of real learning inside my own classroom, I knew the truth: My impact stopped at the walls. The broader system wasn't supporting me, it wasn't supporting the children, and it was failing to prepare them for a world that will change before they even finish primary school.
THE PIVOT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
Why We Stopped Fighting the Red Tape and Started Empowering Parents.
Originally, we dreamed of building our own school. But we quickly realized two things: the government red tape to start a school is a bureaucratic maze, and trying to rewrite the entire national Australian curriculum is practically impossible.
Then, everything clicked.
When we purchased our first daycares, our original curriculum idea roared back to life. We realized we don’t need to tell Australia its curriculum is wrong. Instead, we can give parents and daycares the power to weave our philosophy directly into what kids are already learning.
By bringing this framework into early childhood and offering our parent guides at home, children learn how to handle difficult situations, think in their own unique way, and mold the standard curriculum so they can master it.
They get the best head start to life possible—without needing government permission to do it.
